Things I Thought I Knew as a Venture Capitalist, but Learned as an Entrepreneur
Register for this meeting and pay by credit card Register for this meeting and pay at the door Luc Beaubien has worked with several Venture Capital firms, and has run several companies as well as started his own entrepreneurial venture. He will share many insights gained in both areas. He can truly say he's "been there and done that!" Occasionally our speakers have included investors and executives from companies in which they've invested. This month Mr. Beaubien will share his experiences on both sides of the table, and his discussion will help clarify some of the requirements investors demand from the companies in which they have a stake. Mr. Beaubien graduated from McGill University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He then studied at the Sloan School of Management before working as a Senior Associate at American Research & Development. He worked independently as a Venture Consultant for a few years and they spent 6 years as a General Partner with Zero Stage Capital. He left Zero Stage Capital to becoem President and CEO of one of their portfolio companies before startign his own firm, FINOWEN. |
